It's not a rumor, check your Sprint page and look at updates for your phone, it is in there for today 12/28 with WebOS 1.3.5

I'm still playing wait and see. Sprint doesn't push the update, Palm does.

Also:

This update includes enhancements to the following:
- Improvement in battery life optimization when in marginal coverage areas.
- QCELP capability fix to allow play and audio of video sent via MMS.
- Launch Google Maps or Sprint Nav when tapping an address from contacts.
- Minimized package of MR size through binary difference. Customers can now download over 2G connections if necessary.

The feature list is pretty lack luster, almost no reason to update.

For me the battery life alone is more than worth it.

10-4 to patch removal. Save yourself grief and trip to web Dr. As for where to find the update, use your launcher and tap "updates". When it's available it'll tell you. There's just something wrong with a grown man fixxed to a phone screen. I need my wife to slap me back into reality. I really don't care for Sprint at this exact moment!!!

Now on top of everything else my pre has stopped vibrating! At this moment I really don't care much for Palm or Sprint!!!!

There have been several complaints on other boards, including Palm's boards, that homebrew apps were removed and will not reinstall.

Non taken. But if we have two thread over the same subject it makes it harder to search for issues that arise. Plus cludders up the forum.

Re: webos 1.3.5 now available!!

if it takes over an hour to download/install such a small update as this.. what will happen on the next 1.x or x.00 release for that matter?? Im actually hoping/expecting palm to announce at ces that the next update will be 2.0 and it will have video recording, the gpu unlocked, flash and maybe/hopefully access to some voice control features and/or apps maybe?? I'm thinking this is there big news and this update was to lay the groundwork for the gpu as the last one laid the groundwork for video recording and the previous did the same for flash support..

I'm wondering if the "app limit" fix is part of what's making the update take so long. It's creating a new partition within the media partition without deleting your existing data and then it moves all of your apps from the var partition to the new partition.

Did anyone experience any slow down with this update? My device is slow to respond to clicks now.

Machinehead 12-29-2009 04:33 PM

Re: webos 1.3.5 now available!!

I'm installing the update now, I'll let you know.

Edit: Mine is also slow. Hopefully it's because it's moving apps to the media partition.

Mine was slow right after the update but it's picked back up since I've been re-installing patches.

It's picked back up some but I can't install any themes. I think it's because I didn't remove my theme before the update. May have to doctor this up soon.
