WeatherPanel On An HD2
 

Just installed WP on my new HD2. All looks great except that I'm not able to download animated GIF files. Is there an issue with GIF or animated files and WM 6.5? Regular JPG files seem OK.

I cant believe there has not been an updated theme for wvga. i used to run this app all the time, but since upgrading to my tp2, i havent been able to find a theme for it. I used to use the phatfinger, for my pro, but i doesnt line up right on this. someone suggested makin my own, but im not that savy. Is there an updated theme for vga, or is there anyway to stretch the vga 1 i have to fit the tp2's wvga resolution?

I'm using the VGA version of the Animated Diamond WP theme. There are no large animations for it, but that's no biggie. It has no background image so it might clash with your wallpaper, but you can try the Diamond, Alive Combination theme, which has an added background. That should work as well.

I installed the latest version on my Imagio (WM 6.5, MS 3.01) and had the following errors:
1. Services.exe failure on phone start (eliminated if I remove WP from Today)
2. Widget only shows Centigrade temp.

Just a thumbs up to all the work to get this updated thru 2012. I've been using it for years, and the only thing other weather programs are starting to surpass it on is the animated radar.

hey popdog, i took your advice and went with the animated diamond theme. its sweet. you can also open up manila 5.wpl file inside with notepad, and the adjust height of the theme. however, when you say theres no large animations, do you mean like the moon and sun on the main center of the screen? cause this is what i got. If i could just remove the moon over the temp all together, and just have the smaller animations at the bottom. Any tip on how to do that?

I'm trying to run WP on Second Today on my TouchPro 2, but can't figure out what theme/layout/etc. will work. I installed the Animated Diamond Theme from XDA, but you can see that's not working out real well. What have I done wrong? Or what else should I try? TIA - sheureka

you can run wp from tab of your choice on manila, i use stocks tab cause i dont use it. use this link for instructions. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=2295

The original verison which was QVGA had animated graphics, rain, snow, etc. I have never run into the problem wih an image over the temp. It should be centered. Maybe adjusting the height has something to do with it.
