Gingerbread just came out....while it might be ported by the community in a shorter time official updates usually takes months...this is for all phones.. remember when Froyo came out and how long it took for a phone to officially get updated to it?

I love it!!!! you guys are still waiting for 2.2, and my gfs cheesy Optimus has 2.2 and LG just announced ALL Optimus product line is getting gingerbread....

the delay is only because VZN wants to control everything. samsung has released 2.2 for the GS line of phones but the US carriers have to add all there bloatware. so samsung sends vzn a test setup, vzn sends it back with a list of problems, samsung works on it, sends it back, vzn test it, so on and so forth. its hard to say how many times vzn has tested and returned 2.2. plus, vzn is really only interested in the droid series of phones. they already have 2.2 and moto is already working on a gingerbread release. looks like we will get froyo when everyone else is getting GB, if we are lucky. im not that worried about it. my fascinate works just fine the way it is. flash 10 would be nice to have though.
