I know a lot of you guys swear by s2u2, seems its been updated and should fix some of the issues with our phones:

Changes of v2.12
- fixed the error in v2.10 when GIF wallpaper is used together with "Battery on top" turned on.
- fixed the CallerID problem that if your device works with v2.0x but not with v2.10.
- fixed an occasional power leak that new message is received when the device is sleeping.
- fixed the occasional problem that the taskbar is distorted when unlock.
- "Curtain Opacity" now works with "Float" top curtain.
- improved compatibility with WM6.5 devices, especially the CallerID.
- added Lithuanian language support.

Changes of v2.10:

- further enhanced S2U2 Settings to edit the Exceptional EXEs list; change the run application after unlock;
and change "Language" (must download the language pack & copy it to S2U2's installed folder first).
- added to show Caller/Sender pics on the missed call/message pop-up.
- added to show account name on the email pop-up.
- added option to show "Active" or "Due Today" task. (S2U2 Settings -> Information -> Task Count)
- added option to set the "Top Curtain" floats. (S2U2 Settings -> Appearance -> Top Curtain)
- added a new set of graphic files for showing the full-screen battery - battery0.png, battery10.png... battery100.png.

- added option to show "Full Screen Battery on top of wallpaper".
- added Mouse lock for Omnia.
- added option to show S2P current album pic or not.
- re-added option GDI to "Display Mode" with faster performance.
- moved the option "Lock when Screen is Blank" to Power section to cater on battery and external power situations.
- extended the limit of "Boot up Delay" to 60s.
- fixed the corrupted screen on Touch Pro 2 when the orientation is changed, change the "Display Mode" to GDI.
- fixed the mis-shown of Bluetooth icon on Touch Pro 2.
- improved compatibility with WM6.5 devices, especially the CallerID.
- a few minor bugs fixed.

Make sure to reset all settings to default if you have a previous version of s2u2 installed. I had the problem with the s2u2 taskbar not going away after unlock before I reset to default settings. Now everything is working great.

can someone verify that this fixes the battery drainage issue with the touch pro 2 (specifically verizon)

I'm on Sprint but Verizon should be no different. With v2.04 my battery would drain about 5% every hour.

After 4 hours with v2.10 I'm still at 100%.:headbang: 4 hours is by no means a conclusive test, but it's a good start.

When using this as a caller ID, does it conflict in anyway with the original phone canvas?

I just tested it and for me, it still has issues with the slide to unlock feature. Everything else works perfect though! No more landscape issues. But for now, I have the s2u2 caller ID feature off and am just using the default wm 6.5 slide to answer.

I can confirm that using S2U2 on the Sprint Touch Pro2 does eat up more battery. I compared several 10 minutes runs w/ the screen off via power button for the S2U2 versus Pocket Shield, and I used acbPowerMeter to keep track the battery drain.

On average, with the screen off, S2U2 uses between 120-150mA, while PocketShield uses 70-86mA.

For S2U2, this is without changing wallpapers and without weather, so that S2U2 is only looking out for text, mms, and email notifications.

just installed 2.10 and now everything on my s2U2 screen has shrunk. The wallpaper is only in the middle of the screen and slide to unlock arrow is tiny. Any suggestions?

Nevermind......I think I somehow installed the wrong version. It should be the VGA version, correct?

Yes, VGA. How I remember is that QVGA - the Q stands for Quarter; so it's a Quarter of the screen, so it's smaller.

he is probably not using 1% increments so its <10% used within 4 hours so the phone must have been sleeping the entire time.

No, No No, I am using the 1% increment battery driver. I'm still running the Sprint stock ROM. I haven't had the time to run any customs yet.

I've been getting inconsistent results with v2.10. The first 4 hours I ran it I had 0 battery drain. About 90 minutes later it was down to 95%. After running it for a day it seems the battery has been averaging a drain a little over 2% per hour, about 7% every 3 hours. Much better than 2.04, something I can live with. But if you're a heavy user then 2.10 probably still won't cut it.

I'm running mighty's cdma 6.5 rom and the top bar kept getting stuck after unlocking. I like the default 6.5 slider better.

still wondering if any of there new updates fix the power drainage problem on the touch pro2 (verizon)...anybody know from first hand explerience

I still get the glitch when you unlock it, it shows the battery % in the corner, and cant do anything until I slide open my phone. Seems like it actually got worse with 2.12. I read you have to restore all settings to default for the update to install correctly, is this true?

I'm not sure if this is the exact same but it's the one i use. It's like a TP theme they made a lil while back. Extract the file on your storage card and load the theme from S2U2 Settings you should be set.

after looking at it again, it looks like that's how the newer s2u2 version is already even without the theme. i'm about to upgrade now

thank you very much kern417. i downloaded 2.12 and it was the defult boring theme. i downloaded what you gave me and it works GREAT!! now hopfully this 2.12 doesnt chew your battery up like the others did. and quick question, do you think if you have it set to preview sms when they come that ill take out more battery for that?
just wondering, cause thats a nice feature and id love that!

I'm honestly not sure what that does. I don't have any of the preview boxes checked but if i select the icon when using s2u2 it shows me a preview of the last email/sms that i received. not sure if that's what you're looking for, but there is a readme at the s2u2 website that might explain more what the different settings do. honestly s2u2 has never drained my battery so it's hard for me to give an opinion in that aspect.

Anyone by chance creating themes (batteries, arrows, etc) for S2U2 for the TP2 like those that were done for the Mogul?
