Animated homescreen for manila 2.1?
 

Hi wondering if anyone knows if the animated homescreen and weather homescreen (not clock) can be ported to the manila 2.1? I know there's a few Leo manila ports but they still seem too buggy and the whole not be able to rotate to landscape defeats the purpose of having a keyboard.

Anyone know if the animated homescreen from 2.5 can be ported over to work on 2.1 manila?

I never even thought of that. I know that the weather in the clock is on the newest build of Manila 2.1 (which hasn't been ported to VGA yet) but i'm not sure if it has any animations with it. If anyone else has any incite on it that would be great.

Pretty much you couldn't just rip a part of manilla out and bring it to another manilla. There's no landscape version to that build because Leo doesn't have a keyboard and HTC didn't even make a landscape version for any of the other pages except the photos and music tab. So there exist no landscape version to Manilla 2.5 or 2.6 for that matter

I knew exactly what he was talking about, but thanks. I personally have a Manila 2.6 dump, and two different Manila 2.5 dumps so I know what they are very well. About the landscape 2.5, it is possible, Rostrain (the TFLO god) over at XDA was making one himself (see HERE).

Making landscape mode is possible for these things. The only thing is to get these features, you need to completely change the manilla files. Currently, the only way to do that much of a change is to flash a new ROM. Since you have a CDMA device, you need to wait with me for HSPL to be released.

good thing the HSPL is coming out in a couple days (checked the thread yay)...i loved the animations esp the wallpapers...energyrom has a tf3d 2.5 rom coming out and possible the animations will be there (cross fingers)

I actually use my own wallpapers that I apply on all the tabs. The cool thing about them is that they are High Quality cause they dont get compressed (Loading them through Manila compresses them) and they go on all the tabs, not just the home screen. Also, I customize them so they work in portrait and landscape mode.

In manilla for landscape, it just distorts the picture, but I fix that. Check my signature for the actual thread.
