nav software going into sleep mode
 

after upgrading to tp2 I found that my older tomtom software is not going to work and from what I hear the newer versions have that lag issue so I was looking into other solutions. I installed the trial of magellen XT and it works pretty good, no spoken street names though.

The issue I have is that it goes to sleep. Any way around this besides changing my phone settings? I am hoping there is some registry options to keep alive when app is running. I have also had this issue with some of the auto performance apps that measure 0-60 ,1/4 mile and max speed. They don't do me any good if they quite before the run is over.

I am so glad that verizon didn't lock down the gps on this phone. funny how they locked it down before for our safety and then kicked all the free loaders off the agps servers and now have done a 180. Maybe they are finally figuring out they better catch up to what the customer wants before Sprint grabs all their customers.
