Hi Popdog54,

Is it possible to get the attached only larger to fit the screen, it's on a black background so it can stay black.

I really also like the Windows Mobile one that says powered by 6.5 but is it possible to say 6.1 since I haven't upgraded yet?

Thanks for helping to make our devices stand out.

Here's your Airwolf logo. I'm not sure about which other one you are referring to.

Well I may be going to a Touch Pro 2 soon.
Some Batman splash screen and startup animations would be cool.
Also, I assume the location for the two files are the same as the were on the TP 1?
I plan on getting back to making splash screen and startup animations and cab files for them when I go to the TP2 like I did before....back in the day.

Here's Superman. Once you transferred the cab file to your phone did you actually click on the file to install it? Your'e the only person who has had a problem. Which cab file was it?

Ok, you didn't answer this the first time I asked. Once you transfer the cab file to your phone are you actually installing the file? You need to tap on the cab file which will install the new png into your Windows directory.

If you are installing the file then that means T-Mobile is using something other than the welcomehead.192.png file for the splash screen. I thought that this file was generic for all WVGA WM phones. Maybe not.

Here's a Batman splash screen. Making a startup animation can be time consuming, so I won't make any guarantee as to when or if it will be done.

Hi! I love your work! I would like to create my own cabs for pics I like as well as the ones you have provided - would you be able to share the process for that? That would be awesome if you could!

Thanks!:thumbleft:

Pop, if you are still making these, I'd love a Cal splash screen. Black background with a helmet. Work your creative magic. If you want, you can use the script cal, too. I'll upload both.

First thing you need to do is to make an image the right dimensions, 480x800 for WVGA. If you want the image to also be landscape compatible then it should be 800x800, but I don't know of anyone that restarts their device in landscape mode.

Then you need to rename the image welcomehead.192.png...

After that you need to place the image file into the Windows directory of your device. The easiest way is to just copy it. Since it is a system file the native file explorer won't let you overwrite the original. So you'll have to use a program like Total Commander or Resco Explorer. Copying the new file into the Windows directory will overwrite the original, so if you want to keep it make sure you back it up first.

You can also install the file to the Windows directory with a .cab file. I do it this way because it's a one click method and not everyone uses Total Commander or Resco Explorer. Installing the cab replaces the original splash screen, it doesn't overwrite it. So if you uninstall the cab you still have the original file. There are several different programs that you can use to create a .cab file. The best is probably WinCE Cab Manager, but it cost $99. QuickCab is another program. It's fairly straightforward to use and it's free.

Thanks for getting back! I am in the process of creating the cab file for my splash and it is asking which registry key to assign it to.....????

I'm guessing you're using QuickCab. There's no need to add a registry entry, just hit Create to go to the next step.

Thanks for your support of everyone who makes this site so great (I even thanked you), but...

It's nice to know that what I do is appreciated, but to be honest it doesn't bother me if I get thanked or not. I do what I do mainly for myself, because I enjoy doing it. And sharing it with someone else makes it even better. Besides, that post by youngpro83 was priceless.
