Verizon TP2 Flip Clock [THAT WORKS!]
 

Background: All of the flip clocks posted to date use a modified version of the Manila file "1c684cd8_manila"... this is also used in other mods... such as "Background on all Tabs", "Remove Carrier Logo", etc... and none were modified from the TP2 original... therfore... all lost certain functionality...

Look at the screens posted... none show as many items listed on the Home page as there were with the stock TP2!!!

I have modified the TP2 file to enable the Flip Clock already available in the TP2...

and NO LOSS of functionality!!!

BEWARE... any mods that over-write "1c684cd8_manila" after this install... will render your Home page unusable...

Test with Verizon on a TP2... may work with other carriers...

Just copy the files in the zip to the Windows folder of your TP2... if someone would be willing to make a cab of this... cool!

thanks for this, guess I never tested all the items. I saw the clock working but didnt bother to check or notice the other items.

I am using the "Flip.Clock.Trans2.mf" found in another thread, by chance do you have a transparent one?

Cab works and the clock works, thanks the stock HTC clock is better than the black verizon one.

is there a way to make the white square clear.. ?? i have a wall paper i dont want to cover..??

Yes, pretty-pretty please! I'm using one now that is black numbers with a light white "shadow" around the edges and the squares are almost totally clear - very easy to read and doesn't pollute the nice visual of the wallpaper.

just started putting mods on my phone...

when I install this clock I lose the home page functionality :(

where/how do I check if "1c684cd8_manila" has been modified from one of my other cabs? Right now the programs in my storage memory are

Microsoft Facebook
Astraware Boardgames
Total Commander
Google Maps

I installed directly to the MicroSD slot and it worked.
I believe if you have any other home screen mods it could potential cause issues with the clock or home screen not working properly.

On a Verizon phone with no home screen changes or icon packs etc, this CAB works perfect.
Tested it on 3 phones now.

I'm having problems with this clock. I install the cab do a soft reset when it comes back up i get a error on cprog.exe I have a new phone so i just did a hard reset on it and started from scratch so i have no other home page or clock mods on it and it gave me the same error. the clock shows up and works... but thats about it.. the other tabs work sometimes and dont other times... any suggestions?

Ok for those that are wanting the clear clock I have it working on my verizon phone and this is what I did.. Download the verizon flip clock from here and install to the device memory on your phone and the restart like it asks. Then download the clear clock.cab from here also and then install it and then do a soft reset. All is working on my home page in both portrait and landscape and the flip clock is working. I have attached the files that I used. Good Luck.

thanks DV8,, it worked.. but it take away the color from the call history red flag, and the color of the calendar.. i hope chuckz07 or some one makes it all work out.

You are all welcome. Hopefully some of our fellow ppcgeekers will combine the files and make a nice clear clock that won't take away from anything else on this phone.

Just installed this and I can confirm that it works great on VZW. Clear clock that flips and flips up to hide and all homepage features still work

Having one problem with this (and it could be because I used a different transparent flip clock first) - clicking the clock restarts Touch Flo instead of going to clocks and alarms. Anyone know how to fix that?

Edit - Looks like going through the process at http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=86107 fixed my clock problem and did some other cool things. Check it out.

AHH you guys are awesome! I had a issue where the verizon logo overlapped the verizonwirless text on the left.... drove me insane. I applied these cabs and WOOHOOO it works!!! THANKs eboelzner

Thanks eboelzner for your "enabler" work and Chuck for cabbing it! I just wanted to add that you can actually use pretty much ANY clock after you install Chuck's cab without issue. For instance, I installed the Crystal flip clock that has transparent numbers that flip and transparent background. It's quite transparent and works great. Here is a screenshot of the crystal clock in use on my phone during testing of the "guts" wallpaper I made (if you want said wallpaper, look at my recent posts). Before someone asks, I've attached the crystal flip clock I used to this post :-) As noted you must install the "enabler" cab first from earlier in this thread!

Yes, if you haven't tried it, the transparent clock works fine with HD walls cabs.

works fine on my Sprint TP2. Looks a lot better than the ugly stock Sprint clock. Nice work.
