i just installed (to storage) on my VZN TP2. A place holder icon (plain white box with blue top border) shows up in my application menu. When i try to launch, i receive the following error message:

This cab was one of the first cab's i installed...This cab will break your notifications while you phone is sleep..You want receive notifications "text, email" unless your phone is awake...At least for me on the sprint version.

PS you cant install to storage

so does this work on the TP2 or not? I see it breaks noptifications? also I see we cant install to memory card? that is a deal breaker as I am running out of memory on the phone but have a LOT (8GB) memory on the card...

It worked for my stock Sprint ROM on my TP2, but it stopped working when I upgraded to MightyROM (WM 6.5). yes, installing to device, not storage card is a must.

I could not get it to work with my Silence HD rom either but found TellMe and it works perfectly. It allows me to send text messages just by speaking the message. It translates it to text and then sends it after I tell it who to send it to. It also automatically determines your current location and does searches based on where you are.

Hi Guys,

I am a total noob here and I apologize for my ignorance but would really appreciate any help.

I have a Telus HTC Touch Pro 2 running windows mobile 6.1 and would love to get Vlingo working on it. I have not altered the standard configuration that Telus provides. What do I need to do to make this work?

I would also be interested in upgrading to WM 6.5 if that would make sense to do.

Much appreciated!!

Cheers!

What ROM are you using? I have tried two including Mighty with no luck. I would LOVE to get this app working. I drive a lot.

Thanks!

I keep trying this app on various ROM's but it never seems to really work. The best I saw was on Caulkins around the Jan 5th. It worked to do the test sentence, then would never work again.

BumP

Well either no one REALLY has either TellMe or Vlingo working
OR
They simply don't want to share?

I have Tellme working on a stock US Cellular TP2 running 6.5. I installed the Samsung Intrepid cab that I found on the HTC Imagio forum. I've attached it, so you can see if it works for you like it did for me.

I never got mine to work either. If someone got it to work on the TP2, I wish they'd post a comprehensive guide :(
