Do you like using the touch screen keyboard more then your slide out?

Were you excited the first time you found a keyboard skin for the htc onscreen qwerty like I was? Only to find that the developer only made 3 or 4 skins for just the very basic keyboards rather then the ENTIRE keyboard set of layouts?

Well I wanted to change that and put something up that I would be proud of and that would skin every singe keyboard in the phone.

If you have ever used Sharkie rom, you might have noticed that his last few releases have offered a FULL keyboard skin in wich every single keyboard had been skinned in DINIK's iconic Anastasia theme.
That was my first work in WM Development.

I colaborated a bit more with Sharkie and decided on the a more taditional black and white button layout with a hint of Sharkie Aqua Blue.

The Sharkie theme was made for the Sharkie rom.
Stock green is just that, A stock green colored skin
Crimson red is or my personal prefference, but I'll share it

Thanks for posting up some screen shots, I was going to do that this morning, but I had madew this thread and uploaded the cab via my phones slow internet lol.
Ive got some screenies but I didnt want to wait fooorrrever to put them up one at a time.

Did you happen to notice that I skinned the xt9 popups as well?

Its all possible.
The hard part is making all the images.

Making the keyboard took me about 3 weeks. That includes all the keyboard layouts and the pop ups.

Color after that is a pice of cake, I could have a color varient finished with in an hour or so of work.

There are about 50 files in this cab, about 30 of them are the backgrounds for the keyboards.
And then inside of one the files in here, (SIPBitmaps.dll) there are 90 more images. Of wich more then have are color coated.

Id have to go through and change the colored one by one for each image and then re pack the .dll file and then replace the files I changed in the cab.

Im about to put up a stock green cabin a bit.

Would you like me to make one for the sencity theme?

I like the green. I'm not a fan of the stock green, but yours seems to have a very slight aqua or blue tint to it that takes the edge off the lime like green of stock. Nice work!

Thats odd... I tried my best to get the colors as close to the stock green as I could. Maybe its the fact that it has 2 color tones thats makes seem more thrilling lol

I need some feedback from people who have tried this cab.
HD2 users, does this fit your phone? Any missalighnment at all?
What about other touch pro 2 users?

Tried it out and have to say I'm very please! Aesthetically pleasing and lines up well. No overlapping or gaps. Going to try the other colors now. The screenshots are from Sharkie's ROM and the Sharkie CAB of your keyboard (The blue/aqua one)

I made it while I was using sharkies rom.

Sharkie is the reason I figured out how to make cabs so I made the last keyboard he used and this one for him.

Sadly, this doesn't really work on a 6.1 rom. :( Portrait sorta works but there are a few mis-alignment issues. Since the skin was made to accommodate the thicker bottom bar of 6.5.x there is a gap at the bottom between the bottom softkey bar and the bottom of the keyboard. The spacebar is split in two for some reason and the key letters and symbols are misplaced on the keys making some appear between the keys. Landscape is very misaligned and pretty unusable. Also, the green key indicators when you press a key look kinda like Philadelphia Eagles green. lol

I am not complaining, I just thought I should tell you. ;)

Thanks for telling me, but Im not so sure its just cause its a 6.1 rom
I made this skin based off the energy rom wich happens to use the layouts from an HD2.

The stock 6.1 and even the stock 6.5 for the touch pro 2 roms have a larger keyboard, hence the gaps and missalignments.

The reasons for the double keys here and there are because the layouts have a space bar and such already, but are sometimes overlayed by the images in the sipbitmaps.dll

and the phone puts the images from the dll where they are intended to be, thats why the space bar doesnt line up with the layout and looks like it had been split.

Id say maybe try flashing an energy 6.1 rom and see if it fixes it but idk if they still have that anywhere or if he even started using the hd2 layouts in that rom lol
