for those not using hdwalls, i think i moved the old images i used to create these to my external HD, i will try to find them if anyone needs or wants them.

WOW. love the slider. I am the kind of guy who wants dark wood floors throughout my house. This is definately for me. A screenshot is posted with a corkboard background and santod's wood clock. I will also check out those other wood backgrounds. thanks guys. Actually, I think wood grain taskbars would be even better!

ps. but of course, my sprint gps tab looks out of place. so you know when you do something awesome everyone wants more of you! would appreciate sprint tabs too.

I don't have sprint, so I was not aware of sprint nav and sprint tv tabs. I just updated my other slider with these tabs, and I'll do this one too. I've got two other projects to finish first, and my computer time is limited (work full time, school full time, 20 month old son, etc...) but I will get too it. The reason I started making my own sliders was I would find one I like, then it would leave one tab unchanged and looking out of place. I know how irritating that is. Check back here this weekend and I should have an update for you.

That's a nice looking wood theme you have going there. Thanks for the screen shot.

thanks wahlrus. also i just noticed 2 things (running noncfc):
1) the settings tab is the same the stock tab in the slider. I notice that the settings tab has its own image if I slide over it and see the large background image though.
2)when I am on the calrnder tab, the slider image for the calendar tab is the original pic.

I also tried the woodgrain and cherry hd walls and will tell people this. the wood is darker with more grains and doesn't cover taskbars. The cherry looks really nice and covers taskbars.

You are not the first person to mention the calender issue. Sprint ROMs must have some different manila files. I'll look into this. As for settings and stock tab, it works fine on my phone. But then again, may be sprint issue. This is the first I've heard of it, but I'll see what I can do.

i agree actually. i have seen some awesome modding done here and all over ppcgeeks, stuff i could only wish i could ever even figure out. but the lack of taskbars that do not display the no sim card ugly icon, the lack of dialer skins for the stock sprint 6.5 dialer, and the lack of sprint icons in most sliders has got me reading about how to do some of this stuff myself.
unfortunately, with work, kids, and life getting in the way, it is slow going, but i am determined to figure it out.

that said, these look great. i have been looking for elements of an entire woodgrain theme for a while.

liking that corkboard background too. can you share, i can cab it up with HDWall and put it with my other wood wallpapers.

glad you like the cherry. odd that the wood one didnt cover the taskbars for you. it did on my phone when i made it. did anyone else try it? i made them within a day of each other or so on the same laptop with the same version of hdwall. i notice you are running 6.5.x in your screenshot, but i couldnt see that being the deciding factor since the first one worked.
i like the cherry more too...i liked the rougher and darker grain in the wood one a lot, but towards the bottom of the screen the color blends to a slightly pinker hue than i like, and until i become as adept with gimp and PS as wahl, it just had to be good enough for me and thought i would share.

the corkboard hdwall is attached to my post above with that pic. I don't have the image of it unfortunately as someone else made the cab. it doesn't cover the taskbars as you can see in the pic. here is my current screen with the cherry. I suppose I could lose the curtain on the slider, but the wood sliders might get lost. I'm diggin it!

here are some screen shots of the inconsistencies I was speaking about. I'm not on the stock rom. I am currently using mediumhill rom 52359 SYS (its fast), but manila is probably built using sprint's latest 2012 build since it has those extra tabs. Let me know if you would like to see any of my manila files (or I could flash back to stock and share those with you).
