Trying to make custom boot screens and sound
 

So I am trying to create new boot screens for a stock sprint 6.5 phone and have run into a problem. I figured out how to get rid of the sprint animated logo by replacing the SPCS_480x800.gif with another .gif of my choosing and i was able to change the boot sound by replacing the PhoneOn.wav with one of my choosing (both located in the \windows\ folder, which by the way takes forever to load using explore in active sync) but I can't figure out how to replace the orange Windows image. Anyone know how to do this?

Use Total Commander on your phone to copy it over.
It's a free app and will overwrite system files.

ok but write what over? whats the name of that orange image? I thought it was RunCC_default_bg_800_480.jpg or RunCC_default_bg_480_800.jpg but its not. I replaced both those images in the \windows\ folder but it didn't change anything. couldn't find a listing in the registry either..

Look for Welcomehead.jpg....that should be what your looking for

You want the welcomehead.192.png file.

Thanks for the help. worked like a charm. I wonder why that file doesn't show up in explorer even when showing hidden files?

Yeah Im not sure I always had to make the image save to my memory card then use total commander to copy to windows folder.

Well, it shouldn't be too hard.
Just need the animated image.
Here is a WinMo, version that is a still image, that could be used as a bootscreen also.
