[REQ] PS3 Slider Icons for TF3D v2.5
 

Could someone please make me a slider with the icons. I tried making a slider with HDWalls v0.28b, but I think that's outdated. TIA :headbang:

Do you just want the slider or also the backgrounds that show up when you slide your finger over the slider?

I've been working on a 360 Theme with a Slider
if no one picks this up for ya, i'll see what i can come up with

Do you want the slider to be a certain color for the icons?

Just the slider would be nice. I like the transparent look. I'm working on this now too. Hopefully I can figure it out easily. I will let you know how far I get. Good luck with your 360 slider.

I highly recommend CFC Gui to make it, i've been using it to my themes, here's a preview of my updated 360 theme

Holy shnikes! that is looking pretty bad ass!

I am using CFC now. Just have to find out which files I need. Looks like there are 64 images just for the slider! Insane!

Hey Schartz, good job on your 360 theme! Looks like a lot of details had to be worked out visually, but the results speak for themselves; way ta go!

Haha, it's cool. I am working on one now. Got most of the icons in place, but needs tweaking. I went with a more direct rip of the XMB icons instead of having different icons like you do for the 360. If I have time I'll post some screen shots later.

nice progress, just curious though, which manila file did you edit to do the far back graphic of the slider? for some reason they seem to be "ghosting"

forgot to post progress on the manila flip clock with animated screen
(below) (its a work in progress right now because i'm still having issues replacing some of the graphics, Manila doesn't like what i'm throwing at it lol)

I kept a list as I went through because I was noticing some strange things as well. All of my icons are semi-transparent and it turns out this is a bad thing in a way. This is because the graphic on the slider is positioned slightly differently than the graphic in the slider bar. Hope this helps.

A while ago I posted in one of my threads about possibly creating an entire PS3 theme. I spent some time looking around for OEM graphic sets. Meaning I want to find the official PS3 icons used in the console but doing a search in google for anything related to ps3 graphics turns up a million results of custom stuffs. If anyone can assist in finding these, I may take this project on.

Well here are the PS3 icons, in a metallic type color.
Feel free to do what you want with them.
I have other colors and styles as well, but they all look pretty plain to me.
As that is how the PS3 icons are. :evil4:

This is not a cab, or is it slider icons that can be installed.
I have simply posted these, in case Cellguy or anyone else wanted to look and see if they want to do anything with them.
I do not plan to myself.

Thanks guys, I'll check em out sometime this week and see if it's worth putting something together. I honestly don't even have any ideas of what to do for a complete theme. There are definitely plenty of various PS3 graphics out there like controller graphics, consoles, etc but I'm just not sure what to do with them all to make a good looking theme. But, I'll play around with it and if I come up with a good concept, I'll start the project.

I played around with a few ideas for a PS3 theme, trying to retain some of the original PS3 Icons from the console and it just looks....blah. Idk, I think XBox themes work so well because of the use of the green. PS3 is all black and gray. I think I'm going to let this project drop.

Completely understandable. When I was working on this I felt the same icons about the icons feeling really bland and colorless. To get around this I made all the graphics semi-transparent to let the OS and wallpaper provide some color for the icons. I think the next step I will take will be to change it to have a tint of color isn't of just a transparent gray.

I've found it difficult myself trying to think of what best to use for a PS3 theme, but they just use neutral colors and have no iconic shapes other than the playstation buttons,

the 360 has green, white, neon yellow, and the infamous ripple rings
Here's what i've come up with in a PS3 theme, I think i have too much red
one thing you can't see in the screen shot is, i have an animated screen using the Triangle, Circle, X and Square button icons along with the playstation logo "raining" down on the screen, i think it looks better with a black wallpaper though... I don't get why playstation went from using blue to red, i guess because Nintendo uses blue now for the Wii lol
