First, did you dl chteditor? If so, from the home screen hit menu > edit home layout > advanced (at bottom right) > check 'show notifications'

Watch the video in post #4 to see some of the options demoed for you.
As for the clocks, you can find instructions in a couple different analog clock threads on how to get them on the phone.
But simply put, they are mostly in zip files and you extract the files you want, for the clock you want with Total Commander into the Windows folder and overwrite the existing clock files.
Then in the edit home layout mode, tap and hold to cycle through the different clock layouts, or in edit mode tap the right softkey where it says advanced, then select the clock options and other options you want to show or hide on the home screen.

But do watch the video, no reading needed for that and it explains some things very well.

I just put my notification back on my home screen. I didn't know you could do icons only. I also just found out you can hide the taskbar and have this center icon to touch to make it appear. I didn't know that and now I am loving my home screen and it's not real crowded. I also just got purple notifications instead of green. It's cool! I just need some new backgrounds now. Benn reading about HD Walls but still not sure what it is or does and I have enough stuff already. Rose

Landscape was added in Beta and then removed for more refining, so it never made it into the release. But it will be implemented in a future release.
Enough was left in still, that you can enter EDIT HOME LAYOUT mode while in portrait, then slide open keyboard, now you can cycle your clocks.
Don't expect to do much more then that until a later version, but that is in there and slightly hidden. ;)

You can hide the taskbar? What setting changes that? Looked around in CHTEditor and couldn't find it.

Sorry if this question makes me the one driving the short bus, but hey, if y'all wanna come along for the ride, I'll provide helmets. Coloring books and crayons are on you guys though. LOL.

No, you can't hide the taskbar, .....yet.
But what I think they meant was the slider bar.
Using the retractable slider tab. :)
