[BETA] Foursquare Cab File.

1 Attachment(s)
Here is the cab file.

I've tested it on my Sprint Touch Pro2 works great!

NOTE: WinMoSquare does require the latest version .NET Compact Framework 3.5. If you do not already have it installed on your device you may download it from here.

What's next? They need any and all feedback you can provide them. Please send it to admin@touchality.com. They goal is for WinMoSquare to be the best application for Windows Mobile and they will definitely need everyone's best feedback to make that a reality.

Thanks,
The Touchality Team

Just thought I'd post this for those who aren't familiar with what this is, or don't wanna have to look it up.

The Foursquare phenomenon just keeps growing! Amidst rumors that Facebook might enter the location-based check-in arena, Foursquare continues to pick up users and expand to new platforms. Thanks to the service's APIs, an intrepid developer has put together a client for Windows Mobile: WinMoSquare. It joins the roster of other mobile clients for Foursquare, which was already available in some form for iPhone, Android, Palm, Maemo and Blackberry.

To run WinMoSquare, you'll need a touchscreen Windows Mobile phone running version 6.1 or 6.5 of the OS. WinMoSquare allows you to check in, add locations, and see where your friends are. Because not every feature is exposed via Foursquare's APIs, the client does have some weaknesses: you can't see the leaderboard or find and add new friends with it, for example. This will change if and when the features become available to developers. WinMoSquare may also pop up in the Windows Mobile Marketplace soon.

Yeah, it was, but with feedback and new builds, they are improving. I am very pleased with the work they have done.

I'm pretty sure you have to have a foursquare account...

Great app, I like this much better than the mobile web interface. For some reason, the GPS does not work without a jumpstart from googlemaps. Once started, it is very accurate, even in an area with many restaurants. If I click on my username on the main menu, I get error message System.indexOutOfRangeException

anybody have the cab from the marketplace? I guess I can extract it next time I flash my phone but I installed it while I was not by a computer to extract it. I had been using the beta cab but the one in the marketplace is more polished.

Flashed another rom in the same day. Didn't think I would do that but NRG posted his new rom. So here is the foursquare cab from the marketplace.

Foursquare got updated to version 2010.2.10.1 on 4/14/2010 in the Marketplace. Still say beta though. I've attached the cab, but it seems that nobody is interested in it. LOL

Re: [BETA] Foursquare Cab File.

Ive got the Sprint HTC TouchPro2, downloaded WinMoSquare and added the Microsoft .net v3.5 as well, but when i open WinMoSquare, i still get this message:

"An unexpected error has occured in WinMoSquare.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information.
This application requires a newer version of the Micrsoft .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device."

I am running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Is there a way to check if the framework correctly installed to my device?

MEH. This has a newer version date, but the one in the market place is better in my opinion. It tells you when you're still searching for a GPS signal. The one in this post doesn't. Use the previous cab I attached.

Trying to log in gives me this message now:
" APIv1 is now disabled. See developer.foursquare.com "

:( I don't suppose it's likely that they'll be updating this. I haven't tried Waze's built-in FourSquare thing since August 1st; hoping that hasn't been affected as well. Any other alternative apps out there?
