Someone really should put some rules down about the format in this sub forum.

Trying to find something for 2.1 on 6.1 is about impossible, and when someone asks about something, everyone assumes they are asking about 6.5 or 2.5 w/sense etc. Sprint vs Verizon etc (since VZW is on 6.5 now etc).

It really needs some cleaning up.

Also a section that would let people coming from TP1 that amassed a HUGE collection of cabs, what will work still, what wont etc.

perhaps into sub-forums for 6.1 and 6.5, or something that would better separate major topics?

+2 - I regularly frequent this sub forum, but you are dead on that locating anything specific to OS or Sense UI level is difficult at best. One spends too much time hunting, rather than locating and installing UI software to alter the appearance of their beloved TP2.

I've often though subbing it to "stock ROMs" and "custom ROMs" would be nice, as many addons I've found work fine in custom 6.5 ROMs and not the stock 6.5 my USCC phone shipped with. Organization beyond that should be done by the individual posters within their thread titles. That being said, the more organized you make it, the more difficult it is for the ever increasing number of "unable to be educated" people in the world. Look at the number of posts in the wrong subforums already (even with the great job the mods do).

Yea, but it makes using the horrible search feature, even more broken.

Sorted by 6.1 and 6.5 then 6.5 w/2.1 and 6.5 w/Sense would be the best.

I actually would like to disagree...

especially because of the different combination of WinMo builds and Sense ver. not to mention the different manila versions for Sense 2.5...

By the ways that has been mentioned to organize...you're talking about anywhere between 9-15 different sub forums. Not to mention everyone wants a sub for the folks running stock ROMs.

I like the way things are now...IN the threads itself...it declares whether its compatible for 6.5, 6.5.X, or backward compatible to 6.1. Also, the manila versions...case in point is if you look in the "dusk" thread...which links you to XDA and it sorts itself from there.

This way, US, the users actually build upon our own learning curve..."what's manila 1922?" go research it...while you're researching...I'm sure you'll learn something new. So you can pass that knowledge on to the next geeker.

Anyhow, I'm off my soapbox...sorry...but my opinion is this:

you can be led for only so long...at some point in time, you need to help yourself.

Yea ok, and how old are you? LOL At the VERY least we need 6.1 and 6.5 sub forums cause i personally dont want to read the entire thread to find out if something will work or not. If i have questions on something, the search isnt going to help if the answer is buried under something that isnt easily found.

Its not called being led, its called being organized...
