Cool battery and RAM meters *UPDATED*
 

I found these and cabbed them up together. I did not write the exe's, but the installation called for dropping them in the startup folder. The attached cab installs them to \Program Files and installs lnk's to \Windows\Startup.

The meters are pictured below. The bar at the top of the task bar is battery remaining, and the one below is free RAM.

Install the cab then soft reset. Each meter uses 1kb of prgram memory

Go to where ever you installed them (Device or Storage Card) and make shortcuts to the executables. Copy these to \Windows\Startup and overwrite the ones that are there. The shortcuts that are installed with the cab point to the wrong location of the files.

Does this work with 6.5.x or just 6.5? I would like to install this but I'm trying out Maletesta's 6.5.3 ROM at the moment.

Don't know. I do know that the taskbar in 6.5.x is different. Wouldn't hurt to try.

Using MM Impact which is 6.5.3 and works like a champ.

Cool battery and RAM meters, but I tried to install on a stock Sprint TP2 and no worky. :sad:

I'm assuming that this doesn't work if you have installed a custom taskbar.

Nah, I'm using a custom taskbar. The updated cab creates the shortcuts in the program directory but doesn't copy to /windows/startup. Simply copy the two shortcuts to the aforementioned /windows/startup folder and soft reset. Good to go.

So this only works on the TP2 and not the TP? Asking because I see you have a TP but you posted this in TP2. Thanks.

I haven't changed my info. Pic in first post is my TP2. It will probably work on any resolution though.

OK, your Pocket PC listed said Touch Pro and not Touch Pro 2 earlier when I posted. I installed this on my Touch Pro and it doesn't work, so I uninstalled it.

Yeah and when it booted back up, it gave me 2 errors... 1 for each of the exe files it couldn't find. I'm assuming those are the programs called for by Windows startup and it couldn't find them. I'm guessing since you made this for the Pro 2 and not the Pro 1, the locations of the files are different.

t-mobile tp2 mobile 6.5 .. Just added them to the startup!

Didn't use the cab :/

Tried new .cab, did not work after soft reset. Had same errors sourbear had. Solved by copying exe's into statup folder directly. Works now - cool bars!! Thanks!

This works perfectly on my Verizon HTC TouchPro 2 with 6.5 ROM. Just needed to follow the instructions on creating the shortcuts. Great job! Thanks!

these look cool, but i can't get it to work :( i copied the shortcuts to the startup folder but when i soft reset i get two errors something like "file cannot be opened due to unsigned certificate or component not found..." any idea what i'm missing? it's a stock sprint tp2.

Delete the shortcuts all together and place the other two files in the startup folder You'll love the results

Thanks for the tip.

Also I am using a custom taskbar and it is working great. THe only thing I would want is the color bar for the RAM to go opposite to the top bar (More RAM being used the red it gets, also that it would balance the bars symetrically) :-)

Here's a cab files I've been using on my Touch Pro and Touch Pro 2. I've never had it not work on all the different ROMs I've used...including the different branches of WM 6.5 with custom taskbars.

This one puts both the upper and lower battery.

I wanted this mod... but for two days I couldn't get it workin'! :cry:

Today, I finally got it... just had to copy & paste the files to the Startup Folder like we were told to... :occasion5:

most times I'm so thick! :violent1:

P.S. I'm usin' the file from the first post, the file two posts up reads as if it only doubles up the lines for the Batt only? I wanted the RAM line as well.

Well duh. I am a bonehead. I ran the dcibatterry.cab and reset and all I saw were these pretty colored stripes above and below the taskbar and then I realized those pretty colored stripes were the meters.
