I am on the same page as you. My fiances Droid works perfectly with the SNES emulator and plays Street Fighter II perfectly. The keyboard on the Droid sucks though. I just want something that plays and looks like the original SNES like SNESoid lite for the Android 2.0. I have tried a bunch of crappy ones for the TP2 and they are all buggy and some don't even work.

smartgear FTW. I tried pocketNES on my touch pro 2 stock on sprint and it had issues recognizing keys and wouldn't play in landscape mode. $10 for smartgear, and it works amazing. Plays any NES, SNES, Genesis, and pretty much any other old school ROMs you can dig up.

gotta have my Sonic2

Are you sure it plays snes? If so it would be close to the best $10 I have ever spent....lol

Also on the site it doesn't list SNES

qoutes from smart gear site:

"It currently emulates GameBoy, GameBoy Color, NES, GameGear, MasterSystem, TurboGrafx-16, and Genesis/MegaDrive."

"In Progress...
I'm currently working on getting more games to run (e.g. adding more NES mappers). Future enhancements will include a rewritten YM2612 to enable full speed Genesis emulation. It should be relatively easy to add another system emulator such as Colecovision, MSX or more variations of existing emulators. Please let me know what you would like to see. An Atari ST emulator is an idea I was toying with because I was an early adopter of that system. I'm also working on a SNES emulator written in ARM asm."

search for juicy owner information fix....there's a cab to install the owner information tab to that rom, it's a known problem that its not installed on the flash

ummm...I stand corrected. But honestly i play Genesis ROMs waaaay more than i would SNES. Road Rash 3? ? Um YEAH!!!

BTW If you are using SmartGear on a factory ROM (Stock Sprint OS or whatever) you probably have issues with Genesis games being laggy if music is turned on at all, even on low rates.

I flashed to MightyRom a couple days ago and it runs SmartGear really really smooth with full rate music. lovin it.

dude I've been playing snes games with morphgear's emulator now for a few days. I love it. Donky Kong, Super Mario World, F-ZERO! I can even play mortal kombat 2.

Yeah Morphgear works pretty well. There is also a simulated multi touch, on screen controller skin for it available. Looks like this. Also included the button map diagram, to show where multi touch points are.

Some games the fps is too low to play, like super mario world 2 (which I had never even heard of to be honest, you ride around on that dragon thing the entire time.) But most games are very playable. For instance, I play the shit out of some donkey kong 1 2 AND 3! lol

There's also a Sega Genesis pack along with a gameboy one I believe. I can play sonic and knuckles on the sega one but almost every other game simply fails to load.

You can play in fullscreen too which makes it better than PocketNES or PocketSNES. Set the orientation to north, screen size to "Window size" and then uncheck the "virtual gamepad" or whatever, then when you load a game you press the screen and you're good.

This helped me a lot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...08&postcount=9

It was designed for the HD2 since TP2 doesn't have multitouch.

i was just browseing through and saw this thread.... if anyone still needs help setting up their morphgear/roms/keypad for htc tp2 to work you can throw me off a email at throatxpunch@aim.com i have the optimum settings down for landscape view as well, and also a program called kforrapheal that you can run while running the emulator. it allows you to assign actual keys from your pullout keypad so you dont have to use skins and that annoying virtual pad instead and get that 229 error message when you try to set the inputs. :)
