The REAL Transparent Background?
 

I've searched and searched and searched PPCGeeks, Google, and Youtube to no avail! So, now I'm gonna ask you guys:

Many a moon ago (multiple months), I remember watching a video on youtube that showcased one of the neatest camera/background hacks I've seen. The video showed a phone that used a live image being captured by the phone's camera as the Manila background.

Now, I don't remember what the video was called and I can't find it on youtube, but maybe one of you all have seen this hack! If you have, can you point me in the right direction?

I can't say I have ever heard of such a thing. Even if it does exists it would be a massive battery drain to keep on it on.

sounds like a hardcore registry hack, would drain battery life major for sure. Also the fps rate might be sluggish due to manilla already being so resource hungry. Although the features of the homescreen would probably have to be disabled in order to keep quality and fps high enuf to avoid freezing, like the clock, notifications etc. unless you can have it overlap the camera, with fetched images instead of live. Correct me if im wrong but seems possible?

I'm not positive but I believe I remember one of the major cooks saying it was impossible to do that and was most likely fake. It would make sense - if the guy who did it was proud enough to post a youtube video, I'm sure he would have shared how to do it with someone and it would have ended up on here by now.
