If anyone has an OEM that would work also.
We can install it with nuepackageinstaller

This should be a community atmosphere.
So, in that spirit, here you go:
WidgetOEMFiles.zip

Please let users know what system files you may be replacing if you do create a cab.
I say, don't bother with cabs for the actual widgets since the widgetinstaller seems to work similarly to jbed compiling the info.

If anyone's interested this came up in discussion:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=167
It's a good clarification.

You should be able to try and run *.wgt or *.widget and it will ask if you would like to install.

Otherwise this is the best info/howto. New Cabs and Packages are there too.

"6. Look if the file "\Windows\wmwidgetinstaller.exe" exists, if not go to step 12. If it does exist, (install the enable_widgets cab) or go to step 7.
7. Download "resco explorer" or "total commander" and install one of them
8. Browse to the folder where the wgt file is located
9. Inside the browsing program select the wgt file and use the option "Open with"
10. Browse to the \Windows\wmwidgetinstaller.exe and select that file.
11. The widget should install

12. Apperently you don't have the widget engine on your rom, so you should find a rom with the whole package or try the cab below: add_widget_engine_v2.cab. This will add all the files and registry entries the widget engine uses. This is just a beta so it might not work, and might screw up your rom (small change ).
13. After the installing of add_widget_engine_v2.cab soft reset and try to install a widget
14. It should now work"

Hi there,

I'm exactly in the same situation:
Have titanium running, the widgets are working, but.... How to put them in the Today Panel ?

I know that must be done in Titanium_240x320.cpr.
For the widgets to show in the today panel it should exists the correspondent SECTION in that file... But I don“t have a clue what put in it.

Thanks !

I'm putting something together right now... (I will edit w/ attachments)
With this site: [WIDGET] Streaming wm6.5 [include: enable installing widgets] [working on vga & qvga]

1- Install "enable_widgets_wm6.5.cab" (Thanks Themuzz)
2- Copy Mortscript.exe (v4.2) to \Windows folder and run it (a message box should pop up saying that 2 extensions were registered).
3- Enjoy any of the ".wgt" I attatched. Just run and follow prompts to install (Thanks Themuzz and Indagroove)

EDIT:
-MSN Weather Widget seems to be a newer version with larger text (very nice) but it's missing the Radar tab (MSN issues? I used that alot)
-Not entirely sure mortscript (step2) is necessary since I use sashimi which enables mortscript automatically. BUT, from the 6.5 titanium stuff I've read mortscript is used quite a bit.

_So... I anyone has found a version with working RADAR it would be much appreciated!

Thanks for this...

Re: MSN weather widget

I keep getting an error when I tap the widgets to run them. "Error updating the registry".

I have the Enable Widgets installed. I already had a Mortscript in the Windows folder and I tapped it to run it. It ran like expected. I installed the Steams widget and it gives the error also. All the widget files are in the My Documents folder of main memory.

I'm running Energy GTX 2.5 ROM....based on WinMo 6.5.5

I have Total Commander installed but it doesn't seem to have an "Open with" function.
