Re: Task Manager or subtitution...

Thanks, I got Voice Command 1.6 and and all is good and mapped the key. Yeah, my mogul has sticky keys, so I will try the fix. I appreciate the help and explanations.

Edit: I can't get the Keyboard fix to work, brought the files over to the storage card, used file explorer on my Mogul and none of the files work. Is there something that I am missing?

hope it helps. Thanks for pointing out the sprint animation. Now that I cook carrier free, you guys on other carriers don't want to see a Sprint splash screen. I promise from this day forward I will not post anymore builds with a sprint animation screen. As for the Phone canvas, look around you can find tons to download and install.
Thanks, I had looked at that in PPC Kitchen previously and it does answer some, but I guess that means we don't know everything! I had delusions that people knew the code branchs. I will tell myself that some changes go into all the branches!

My googling hasn't turned up a good phone canvas version yet for CDMA/QVGA. The one I had was great under 6.1, but on these 235xx builds it has the scroll bar issue which I see fixes for, just haven't tried any yet! Hasn't been to important. I know it comes with the teritory of these builds and the +'s of the new UI and the fact I can use my fingers are well worth loosing that.

One last question... In your opinion, which builds to you see going forward? (I am thinking the 235xx and 280xx/282xx).

It really doesn't matter, because eventually we should start to see windows mobile 7 builds, and from what I have read winmo 7 is totally re-written so all of them will come to an end.

Any suggestions? It is not a huge deal but my keyboard renders any text messaging impossible.

That should work. I have that file on my storage card as well and I install it every time I flash a new ROM. works fine for me every time.

Well I tried clicking on all of the files, and nothing installed, weird. I get the error message, "This file is not associated with an application...."

Re: WM6.5 for HTC Titan Build 23518/21887 *UPDATE*

Hi, I'm using 28005 and overall, I love it! it's much quicker than any other 6.5 ROM i've put on the Mogul.

I was able to get Pandora working, Lastfm through skyfire (wish I could find a direct interface), Wifi Sharing after installing AL_ComManager w/wifi sharing, as well as nue's device as USB storage on PC. This ROM came with ICS fix, which is working great. I just need to get picturemail working, but it hasn't been a priority - I found the cab on your website today, so I'll try that.

The last four things I need to make this ROM all I want are:

1 camera to work (see symtoms/etc below)
2 get the different input options working (I like the letter recognizer, as well as a big qwerty keyboard)
3 Quick way to end programs (see suggestions below)
4 perhaps voice command (I probably don't need help with this)

1 I'm not using the high mem kernel, which might make this thing fly so I should check it out. Additionally, there isn't an option for what the camera button does under "Buttons". I don't see a camera icon in the start menu. I don't see anything about a camera anywhere except on the kernel choice page. I just now tried changing kernels and neither gives me the camera.

2 For the keyboard, I don't get that little arrow that lets me change the input type, unless I use skyfire. I accidentally found out that on programs that keep the keyboard in a circle, you just have to press & hold the keyboard icon to get the option to choose different keyboards. So, I'm ok now. However, is there any way of having a good keyboard & letter recognizer, like on the TP? I've searched & dl MANY different keyboard & two transcriber cabs, but no good answers have come up so far.

3 I would like to have a quick way to end a program, and I see that someone over at XDA figured out a way on a TP:

double tap (not click!) home key will close most background apps since the "x" button doesnt close them

link to the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?p=4325783

also interesting is:
HTC Tack Manager is there but the icon is invisible so it doesnt overlay on the clock

So if we can figure out how to make it invisible, it would be a good option. (X on bottom for minimize, invisible x on top for close/quick task manager).

4 Voice command is just a cab, so I'll search for that once I get everything else resolved, plus I might not even like it.

Please let me know if you need anything further in order to help - especially with the camera as I'm sure most other people's cameras work fine.

Thanks in advance for help with any of these issues.

Update to my latest ROM, I know the camera works. Map the record button to the task manager and thats a fast way to close programs. If you like a qwerty keyboard then whats wrong with the hard keyboard on the phone.

Anyone else seeing text messages come in as year 2016 with the 23518 build?

I'm not as interested in qwerty keyboard as in letter recognizer. But if I could get a good qwerty keyboard on screen, and I end up using it more than the hard keyboard, then I'd know that my next phone doesn't need a hard keyboard, etc.

I got the camera to work by dl a cab for it. I've been changing some other stuff and now for some reason the battery icon doesn't change, phone doesn't even seem to know when it's charging. I may have broken a piece of software, so instead of hard reset, I'll upgrade to your latest ROM.

Thanks for all your hard work, and for sharing it with us!
