Check SPL?
 

Is there a way to check which bootloader is installed within the OS? I've always been nervous about flashing after reading the various "bricking" posts, and thus have only flashed a few times.

Currently running stock 3.56.651.0
Radio: 3.42.02

I seem to recall having to flash several times to get the rom & radio to load, and I *think* I upgraded to Olipro 2.40, but I can't recall. I'm at work and not ready to start flashing, but I'd like to peek here and there to evaluate my options.

If I can't check the bootloader within the OS, can I load the bootloader w/o starting a flash? Start it and reboot?

I've been dealing with a problem with being able to answer calls, (data won't release to answer) and getting sick of it, so I'm getting ready to take the plunge. Suggestions welcome.

Hold camera, power, and push and hold reset. Phone will enter bootloader. Check version then hit reset to exit. You will have 2.07 bootloader. You must upgrade to 2.4 or 2.47(My Preference) to go custom.

You can manually load the bootloader by holding down power+camera+soft reset, then see which SPL you have. Soft reset to get out of bootloader. Pop out the card if you are saving any ROM files on it first.

On the phone not answering calls, it may be time for a hard reset. Backup your contacts, applications, etc before hard resetting because it will wipe the device clean. This is a necessary evil with the Mogul as in time it builds up junk files.
