Stock Rom
I will be receiving my new Alltel 6800 in a few days. The current one is unhacked but has some button issues and is being replaced.
I have decided it's time to load a rom on it. My question is as follows: Is there a way for me to read and save my original rom in case I need or want to reload it? Is there a place where I could download the stock roms? Thank you, Karl |
Re: Stock Rom
Yes and Yes. Searching will find all you answers.

Re: Stock Rom
to find your stock rom, go to HTC and go through it that way. It has the latest and greatest roms out there (maybe not the greatest) And then you can download the stock rom for your carrier and you are set.
also you can save your contacts by using PIM backup if that is what you are asking about saving. anything else?? |
Re: Stock Rom
I went to HTC's website. They don't have this phone listed. A search for an alltell 6800 rom brought up a dead link. Are they still making this phone?
I guess I'll have to search for how to read the rom. thanks guys. |
Re: Stock Rom
I have a question along that same line....I'm getting a new HTC Touch Pro through Sprint. My old Touch Pro has some chrome lining chipping away and I was able to get it traded out for a new one through Sprint. Do I need to get the STOCK ROM back on it before I trade it in? How do I get the Stock ROM if I need to revert it back to its original condition? I DO have the MightyROM installed on it now. Thanks so much...PM me if you have an answer.

Re: Stock Rom
cabindoor...i would highly suggest flashing it back to the stock rom along with locking it too...i dont have any evidence to prove that you should...but i don't know if flashing does truely void your warranty so i would just do it to be on the safe side
