Speedtest.net

I have tried running speed tests on speedtest.net and my Titan just freezes. I have Flash 7 installed but no java. I can run tests at mobilespeedtest.com and my bandwidth reading is usually about 932 kbps with a speed of 116.5 kbs. first, why is my pc freezing? where can i get a java cab, and third are these numbers i have gotten any good?

If youre not already, try using a Flash enabled browser like Skyfire

From Speedtest.net:

Why does Speedtest.net say I need at least version 7 of Flash when I already have it?

Speedtest.net uses the very popular JavaScript package SWFObject to detect your Flash version. If you are certain that JavaScript is enabled, then there could be an error in your Flash installation. This problem is usually solved by uninstalling and then reinstalling Flash. We have also had reports from IE7 on Windows Vista users they had to specifically install the Flash Player ActiveX Control to get it working properly.Back to top

Re: Speedtest.net

Keep in mind that site was build for a PC browser and not a PPC browser. Thats why there are mobile speed test sites like this one here.

Re: Speedtest.net

You can read my post right above yours where there is a link to a mobile speed test. As for speedtest.net, and as said above, you will need a browser that will support that site.

Re: Speedtest.net

You can tether you phone to your PC to get a speedtest.net result. Just disable your regular connection and use your PPC's connection through tethering. Go to speedtest and run the test and you will see your connection speed.
