Carrier cab is for PPC. Use the computer to transfer to the device, navigate to the file location with devise's file explorer, tap on the file and install to main memory. Might need to reboot (softreset) device after.

Viper, It appears that Others hate U.S. Cellular, LOL. Ya just don't seem to find anything for the US Cellular crew. For now until people realize that we are people too, try this. Install this kick *** ROM onto your phone. After you have it all set, click on start, Internet, Internet Sharing. once that comes up, Click on menu, Connection settings. Create a New connection, called My Connection. #777, for the number to be dialed, and leave the login and password, blank. finish, and soft reset. When you come back up, just start up Opera, and you should see that the Internet now works. I had to do the same thing. I am with US Cellular, and have had to find lil work arounds to get everything to work with the US Cellular phones.:mrgreen::mrgreen:

Probably a lame question, but what exactly is a DCD used for... I am using Cricket and loaded the DCD file, but didn't see any change

the dcd carrier cab is just to get your internet settings on your phone if they aren't working with your current custom rom...if you have working internet then you don't need the carrier cab

Does the phone function without the carrier .cab?
Is the carrier .cab only for Internet?

bbsandkm cooked me a custom and stated that it was carrier free, and I needed to download a carrier .cab for Alltel.
