Flashing radio on vx6800

I've currently got radio version 03.37.20 and scrossler's reloaded rom based on DCD 3.2.6 loaded on my VZW vx6800. I've done the Verizon aGPS hack to get faster locks on GPS satellites, but it still isn't locking on at all and I see maybe 1-2 satellites indoors and about 5 outdoors. I thought I would upgrade to the latest 3.42.50 radio to see if that would improve GPS, but I'm running into a problem.

I have a Kingston 2GB microSD card that I've formatted to FAT32. I placed the radio image file, TITAIMG.nbh, on the card and transferred nueSPL-2.47.exe to my phones flash memory. I ran nueSPL and it said everything was good to go, check marks beside all items. I clicked continue, the phone rebooted, showed the tri-color screen for a second or two, went to the grey screen, said "checking file", then I saw a progress bar go across the screen and the phone rebooted. Everything looked good to go, except that the phone still says it's radio version is 03.37.20. I've tried this several times and each time, it looks like it completed, but my radio version hasn't changed.

I tried with Hard-SPL 2.40 also, but it just stays at the tri-color screen and doesn't even try to flash.

Any suggestions?

when you did the nuespl did you check after your phone rebooted(in your storage card) for a TITAIMG.nbh that it(nuespl) may have put there? you should check and see and if it is there, remove it and just put your radio file there and then flash using your card...happy new year:mrgreen:

you missed a step

run nuespl (this will create a TITAIMG file in your card)
after tricolor screen and reboot make sure THAT file is not there anymore
NOW INSTALL another TITAIMG file (this is radio)
put phone on tricolor screen
thats it

ps. im doing this from memory so, go ahead and make any corrections to my steps

Re: Flashing radio on vx6800

I figured it out, and here it is, in case anybody else runs into the same problem.

1. Like everybody said above, I put the nueSPL-2.47 program on my storage card and the TITAIMG.nbh file, then ran the nueSPL program. This overwrote the TITAIMG.nbh file everytime. YOU ONLY NEED TO RUN NUESPL-2.47 ONCE! Just run it once to install the bootloader, that's it.

2. My Kingston 2GB card was somehow incompatible as neiter bootloader would use it, or anything, even though I formatted it with the nueSPL utility. I used my wife's SanDisk 2GB card that she got from Verizon and that worked great. If you can't flash and you've made the sure you have Olipro-2.40 or nueSPL-2.47 installed, and that the card is 2GB or less and formatted in FAT32 with the image file on the card called TITAIMG.nbh, try another card. I was sure mine worked as I could flash nueSPL and the TITAIMG.nbh would show up on the card, but it wouldn't work for flashing the radio. Turns out the card just wasn't compatible for some reason.

Thanks to everybody who helped.
