I believe I found the problem... the REAL reason people are hanging on the 2nd splash. i will reply with my official findings later... Battery is at 5%.. going to take a bit to get back to 50% so I can flash some more to confirm my findings.

confirmed, no boot yet... what gives decibel??

That error:

..was solved by replacing the Sprint carrier as described in this thread:

I've no doubt that the specific line in red from shaggylive's post is the culprit, but replacing the whole damn file was quick & easy....especially since the first thing I did in the kitchen was switch the carrier to Alltel.

Still good stuff guyz, well worth effort. I've been usin this nueROM w/ Scotts M2D (among other things) for days now; Rock Solid, averaging 17-21MB free. Awesome.

MUCH MORE FOOLPROOF SOLUTION FOUND!

This one requires far less manual editing to make it work! Just download some properly formatted group files, change that one line in kitchen_config from .03 to .04 and go!
