Gps today is the only one that works??
 

We have 2 titans. Mine works great. The gf's is beign a turd. She has been having lots of problems with the gps working right for a while and I'm stuck on it.
The only gps program that will work right is Gps today. Google, Live search and Garmin XT geep searching in circles. They all pick up the gps sats but won't give anything after that.

I have hard reset it a few times, restored it to the setup on my own phone with sbp backup, reflashed, hard reset....

Any tips?

Hmmm. If all other variables have been elimnated, meaning you flashed it to the same software config your wife has, then I would check with QPST to make sure something on the GPS side of the programming didint become corrupt.

If your on Sprint you probably dont have to do that but us lowly VZW users have to.

I see where this might happen if someone was messing with it, but thats not the case.
Sorta out of the blue. It still has me beat beceause gps today works great, all others wont budge.

Have you tried using BAF GPS toggle to prime? I know it is fastest way for me to connect my 6800.

and when you can't get it to connect, soft reset and try again. I know it sounds funny, but there's times when I can't get a lock and then i soft reset and get one in under 10 sec.

If you look in the Garmin XT forums (and some here) you will see where other people cannot get locks and it jumps around. Have you made sure your GPS settings are synced at 4800 baud and Com 4?

reinstall XT and check your settings. COM4 4800 also make sure her gps locater is on all and not just 911 only.

To all the above--yup-yup-and yup again.
I thought it might be some monir setting that I was missing, thats why I restored the rom the her phone from mine, same issues.
Multiple flashes, multiple reinstalls of all software, this one has me beat.

i had the problem with XT not reading the GPS but all i did was remove and reinstall and that fixed it. im at a loss. are you using a primer for the GPS? the new 5.xx upgrade for XT doesnt require it but you never know.

the radio and prl are the same too right... it sounds like for some reason it's preferring the cell tower locations instead of using them to lock the real sat's.
I suppose it's also possible that there's a reg setting not getting set by the backup/restore
