nueROM3 + Rev. A = no signal icon?
 

Well I did the regedits and put the DLL in \Windows. Any ideas? The Ev and 1X work fine.

Same problem I had when I went from the Alltel 6.1 stock rom to NueRom3. As soon as it would go to RevA it would show the X. Nothing would change it, it was just a cosmetic thing as the data connection would work just fine. When I was flashed to the Alltel stock ROM the RevA indicator worked just fine.

Once I flashed to the latest Sprint PRI to get the GPS working again the problem went away, now it shows the EV, but none of the regedits work to show the RevA icon at all.

Can you give me directions on the Sprint PRI? And will it crap things up? Is it possible that loading an Alltel PRI will work too?

Don't load the Sprint PRI if you are on Alltel.

If you can't find someone with the Alltel PRI I would just flash to the latest Alltel 6.1 ROM and let the customizations run then flash to whatever custom ROM you want afterwards.

Yeah see, I have the latest 6.1 ROM and nueROM is over that.

Ahh... same problem I had. I accidentally fixed the "x" issue since I needed to load the latest PRI since the Alltel PRI wouldn't let my GPS to work on my Sprint service.

Not sure if it will break your GPS though.

You can always install the latest Alltel ROM and let the customizations run.

Hmm the customizations are sitting on my EXT ROM and I've tried installing all the cabs from it and nothing.

I wondered if an NV setting was required for the Rev. A icon. This seems to explain why it doesn't work for me either.

MrObvious would you mind posting that Alltel PRI from your extrom please?

I think its the signed_080808_blahblah file... as my PRI was 2.02 when I put the stock Alltel ROM on there. As soon as I went to 2.03 my GPS started working again and the "X" on RevA signals went to the regular "Ev" icon.

yes its that file. maybe i missed something, if PRI 2.02 came in the latest stock alltel ROM, where did you get 2.03? vogue?

I was about to just flash the latest Sprint ROM as my GPS wouldn't work after flashing from the stock Alltel WM 6.1 ROM to the nueROM3 but then I saw this thread and gave it a shot.

You can try flashing to the Sprint PRI but that might cause the GPS to stop working. You can always flash PRI's easily back and forth though.
