What OS do you flash with
 

So I still keep around my POS computer b/c it runs XP and still havent use vista to flash a new rom. Was wondering what everyone uses to flash their ROMs?

microSD. I haven't flashed via my computer in many months.

That said, when I did flash via OS, it was with Vista, without difficulty.

XP, under linux, with VMWare Server (1.0, and now 2.0) with no issues.

Haven't had any problems flashing with Vista, other than when all of my USB ports died on my old laptop, but that's not exactly Vista's problem :)

I build my ROMs in Vista and use the SD method.

XP, until I can afford a new computer, then sadly, it will be Vista. Until they get that really cool Mojave comes out, hehe (sarcasm,folks).

I will be the blacksheep here. I use OS x, i do the flash card method, dont build roms, I use no2chems and SDautorun. If i come up on something i need a pc for, I have a very old rig running 200o in the basement.

and as a side note, for all the mac users, syncmate replaces active sync VERY well, spend the $40 bucks and not only does it replace active sync but it works better. i mean come on, i can sync over wifi, walk in my house and bam, phone is synced.

I'm a missing sync believer... and yeah it has the Over the air syncing as well..but i prefer bluetooth as I walk by my rig every day. No problems...yet. I am thinking about moving onto the Touch Pro...which I thought was coming out today. Damn you sprint! On the other hand. I've been playing w/my brothers 3G iPhone, and I must say, it just works! Once i jailbreak it (can i say that here?) I can tether and customize it til my hearts content.

Being a mac user that boot camps into xp, I am open to most all operating systems (including Ubuntu for linux - or linuxmint if I need the nvidia drivers).

See, i had missing sync before and it just seemed so cumbersom, like there was so much going on, I want something that is straight laced and just works. Hence my switch to syncmate. I have a G5 so no dice with boot camp or even parallel or Fusion. I'm debating switching to a palm, I run alot of medical apps for drug guides and references being a paramedic, and my WiMo is just not cutting it anymore(cant really tell a pt hold on while i free up some memory and double check a drug interation). Plus, palm is nativly supported under OSX, so we shall see. I love the iPhone for what it is, but so not down with jumping carriers right now, I have 3 lines with the big V, $450 in etf.... ah no.

I run XP and Vista, with no problems related to flashing from the OS.

I flash using SD method exclusively for the last several months, but have never had a problem with any of them when i used RUU on any of my machines.

Vista Ultimate with no problems what so ever.
