OEM roms

After noticing that 20748 rom looks to PPCKitchen_oem.rar, unlike all previous roms, is there any reason to stay with PPCGeeks_oem.rar? It's simple to edit the .txt file, so should I?

I think it has some updated programs.

I'll take that as a positive vote for change. Since PPCKitchen_OEM.rar contains the 2D Manilla today screen stuff, it may be preferable to the older PPCGeeks_OEM.rar anyway. I'll go that route for the time being and see what happens.

Thanks for the response. :-)

I noticed BuildOS Updater shows an updated PPCGeeks_OEM.rar, but the titan isn't listed at this time for any updates, just the Apache, Kaiser and Vouge. Suppose I'll have to get some of those just to get the newer PPCGeeks_OEM.rar to see what's changed.

?????? You can just download the PPCGeeks_OEM.rar. You have no need for the Apache, Kaiser or Vogue ROMs unless you have one of those devices.

BuildOS updater doesn't list PPCGeeks_OEM.rar separately in the files selection screen, only in the screen announcing there are updates available. After letting it download the other ROM's, PPCGeeks_OEM.rar was updated, so it cost me nothing but time and bandwidth, both I have available on occasion. Un-needed ROM's have been deleted. I know it's a waste of trons, but they're only trons, after all! :)

It does for me. At least it does when there is an update for it. It will listed under OEM not ROM.
