What was that interface?
I bought a 6800 off ebay and it came flashed with a really nifty rom with a very nice interface. I hesitate to say it was a "today screen" because it didn't work anything like a today screen. At the bottom of the screen were several buttons which were labeled with Apple-esque things like "iWeb" and "iMaps". Also the programs menu and settings menu were all drop down type menus that didn't switch to a new screen.
I really thought it was very nice, and I believe it was based on a nueRom, since it had all teh nueTools. Unfortunately, the ## codes were not working, and the sprint guy couldn't change the MDN and MSID, so I had to flash it back to a stock rom. Argh. Any ideas on what this was, and where I might find it? FWIW, I am pretty boneheaded when it comes to technology, I have only flashed roms through the ultra easy BuildOS "so easy a cave man can do it" tool, which I must say is awesome. Thanks for any suggestions. |
Re: What was that interface?
you did not have to flash back to stock, ##codes are merely shortcuts to executables in the /windows directory. as far as the interface you seek, look for throttlelauncher-touchflo possible, or for better speed, manila 2d. someone out there probably has an iphone style theme for either or

Re: What was that interface?
maybe a link to the ebay action with a picture could help?

Re: What was that interface?
Well the auction just used the same cheesy stock photo as any other.
As for the shortcuts, the epst window would just blink up and go away that quick, so I had no other idea how to get it working. anyhoot, the damage is done. it may have been a manilla interface with a different skin. I will look into it. I did figure out the menu is "quick menu" on the Build OS. So many options to try. took me a while. Thanks for the suggestions, I shall continue my pursuit of knowledge and the elusive interface. |

Re: What was that interface?
it looked EXACTLY like the first post here: http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/showthread.php?t=40845
But it was on my titan. I will continue looking for it. I contacted the seller and they said they bought the phone from a friend and resold it on ebay. They are going to ask... Yay for third hand info. FWIW, if you sell a phone on Ebay, take all your personal pics off before you send it out. :P |
