Hard Reset

What do I actually get by doing a hard reset? What happens to the programs that I have installed? Is it just like reflashing the ROM that I flashed last? Will the GPS functionality still be intact after the hard reset? I'm just trying to learn my way around this gizmo that I have.

whatever isnt backed up will be gone.

Yes, it will revert to right after you flashed. The GPS will work (as long as it worked right after the flash), but ant programs you installed or customizations you have made since will be gone.

Two programs/methods of hard resetting to getting back to normal faster:
1) PIMBackup. Seriously!
2) Put all your cabs on your storage card and use Tiermann Autoinstaller to get back to speed.
