Yup, if TF2D is a CAB file, just install it after flashing DCD .

See, that's what I'm trying to get away from. I have installed TF2D four times. It is a real PITA to install from all the cabs after the flash & doesn't work as well anyway.

When I included TF in a ROM I cooked in the kitchen, it worked perfectly (youtube & Opera worked right, audio manager worked fine etc etc).

I am trying to help out a friend. I flashed his XV6800 verizon for him to dcd 3.2.6 & it works fine, but he has decided he wants TF2D (I'm not really sure why). I am trying to figure out how to add TF2D to the same ROM he is running now, so I can flash it for him & then restore an SPB BU file after the flash.

Does that make any sense, or should I tell him to just be happy with what he has now?? (that's what I'm tempted to do).

John, you should hook us up with that black Today theme ;c) I like that.

But yes, I have never once had a problem with GPS on either the PPC Kitchen or the DCD kitchen. Worked great on all builds. DCD kitchen "seems" to be more stable for *me*. Much less hassle. The only downside to the DCD kitchen is the lack of user contribution. The lack of documentation on how to modify it, etc. Still like the DCD kitchen better. I learned how to "hack" it with my own customizations such as splash screens, adding sounds, etc. Actually learned QUITE a bit by doing this. IM creating my own kitchen now based of NO ONES work, except for the NBH tools and the ROM from the carrier.

One last note: I have also used OEM's from the PPC kitchen without much hassle in the DCD ROM.

Just take the OEM from the PPC kitchen and drop it in the OEMS folder of the DCD Kitchen. Cook away. Or another thought, recreate the rom using the PPC Kitchen.

Yea, I just tried that on a spare 6800 I have & it worked fine.

My buddies 6800 has been running the dcd 3.2.6 ROM almost from day one (I flashed it for him the 2nd day he had it I think). Now, he has a ton of programs etc installed.

I have a current BU of the system (which works perfectly) with SPB Backup. I wonder if I reflash his phone with the same ROM again but adding HTC youtube & Manilla2D to the ROM if the BU will still restore correctly so everything doesn't need to be installed from scratch all over again??

.

That theme is nothing special really. I just added the black digital clock for the HTCHome DL'ed from XDA, set that black wallpaper as the today BG & then changed the color/theme of the background for the taskbar & softkey bar with Wisbar Advance3.

I can't get NueExtROM to work with DCD 3.2.6.
What's the trick to getting it to work? Also I take it I must download both the cpl and driver from No2Chem's site.

Thanks in advance,
tsp

If I have the Sprint Mogul do I just select "Titan" stuff on the selection page or are some of the other choices better? For example, comm manager, camera, dialer, etc.

Would really appreciate a little help since I am about to flash 3.2.6 again.

Thanks,
tsp

I can't either, it worked for me with a stock ROM & works fine with nue pre3 but I can't get it to work in dcd 3.2.6.

John,

Saw your screenshots... very nice! What is the colored battery icon you're using?

I'm using dcd 3.2.6 ROM and there's no battery indicator.... I do miss that.

Thanks....

Andrew
