I just tried downloading the us cellular package from the link at the beginning of the post and it says it's corrupt.

It's not. It is using compression that standard ZIP can't handle. I used WinRAR to successfully extract it after WinXP's compressed folders choked and failed.

I zipped all the files using 7zip. I use it because it is free. Try using 7zip to extract the files. I posted a link to download it a few post back.

It is the latest pulled from the Alltel phone. 5.0.71.33R3

I am using your ROM. Love it. Only thing I would change is the IE6 - way too slow and doesn't leave me the option of switching back to the PIE6 mobile view.

Yeah I noticed that on mine too. Is the IE that is in kitchen though. Not sure how to change it.

More I play with the IE Mobile, the more I feel like we're missing a trick somewhere. I was able to get it to switch between mobile and desktop browser on MSN - that feature turned out to just making the website not detect you were on a mobile and default to the low res version.
What I would like to get back is the option to browse in one column so you only have to vertical scroll.

just flashed the cricket version so i can prgramm it into metropcs, but now i have no Radio, i cant make phone calls

here is my sytem info

ROM :3.08.666.1
radio: 3.37.75

tried to flash it with another version from your folder, always failed, error message (invalid command)

You may have to flash another radio. You can do that by using an sd card to flash it. iIbelieve I have a link to a radio in my tutorial post. The link to that post is in my signature. Let me know if that works for you.

i have thhe version listed in thhis thread.. It ends in .33R. It is supposed to be the latest pulled fro an alltel rom.

ok, after some painfull hours, it wasnt the radio version, i ws trying to write a converted hex derived from a MEID, never worked , but the phone worked just fine once i write a real esn .

Anyone else having trouble downloading the sprint version? Every time I try it gives me a corrupt zip error.

Edit: NM, corrupt zip extension. WinRAR fixed all.

This ROM is awesome! Text messaging is a bit quirky but I am sure it is something I am doing or not doing.....unit will not vibrate when new text comes in (phone on vibrate) and when I close text messaging and re-open then open message string it goes to first message not last like the old version did. Anyone else seen this? What settings do I change to fix it?

When I download the file for the ROM update, how do I get my computer to recognize the file? What file is needed to open the file? Also if I download the file for my carrier do I still have to go through the "unlock" procedures?

You can't unzip with winzip, you have to use WinRar or 7-zip.

OK, I need lil help with tryin to get one of my co workers into the world of PPC. I got him a Mogul and hes on Cricket. I used PPCKitchen to build and even d/l'd GaMedics Cricket rom. My issue is when I go to program it, I'm unable to find the "Home SId/NID #1" values. Is there some place specific I can find these. And how do i find and load the prl for Cricket. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah do I have to do the *228 to start activation or will me programing the MSL and MSID cover that for me?

Hello Ga.
I really want to use your rom, it's just that I'm not using any of the carriers it has been meant for.
I was wondering if you could do a generic one, or do one with the carrier cab included.
But if you want just do a generic one and I'll just add the carrier cab because as you said maybe you will not have time and this way it will not take you too much time.

I don't know how to to a generic one. The Kitchen requires you to select a carrier.

Did you put in any DCD optimizations or no2chem optimizations? I was wondering if the free RAM on boot was closer to being above 25MB and would flash it. And this would be w\o M2D.

do not have alltel but downloaded and unzip using 7-zip with no problems. Unzip and recieve TITAIMG.nbh at 89.5 mb

I think he went straight kitchen - I'm playing with it too and remixing a little to drop apps I don't use.

ok so I am a total moron, I dont even know where to start I just got this xv6700 from ebay and ran across this wm6 and dont even know where to start to put it on my phone could someone please give me a step by step maybe?

GaMedic....In your ROM, in the Device Manger, there is a folder for "Drivers>Blocked Devices>Flash Drive" Do you have a flash card driver for this? The RegEditor recognized my flash drive, now I need a way to run it. Any ideas? I already posted a thread on the subject, but that was BEFORE I successfully Flashed your ROM (Which works great by the way, and I just got authorization from Verizon for a Certified Microsoft Tech to toy with my phone "...as long as he doesn't open the phone to attempt hardware changes..." and still keep my warrenty valid! And it was noted by a Microsoft Tech with Verizon.)....Let's play.
