Screen dims, phone gets stupid, have to restart.
 

So here's the deal, I'm using PPCkitchen with the 20270 rom but this has happened with other roms and a totally different phone. What happens is that after leaving my phone idle for a while it "locks up" Usually I notice this whenever I'm using ICS b/c I'm not able to browse pages anymore, but it happens when I'm not using ICS also. When this happens, I touch the screen and it dims, then if I try to open my programs there are none listed. Also, if I had received any txt messages around the time it locks up, they are not there whenever I restart. So any advice on this? It's really a pita and I don't want to go to stock rom, but guess I might have to. Thanks for the help.

How much free program memory do you have on average?

Do you have s2u2 installed? That usually is the problem. I avoid that like the plague because I hear nothing but complaints about it. Try upgrading to 20273 as it has less bugs.
