VZW 6800 Update TXT size issue
 

I updated my xv6800 with the new official VZW rom. I am having a problem receiving txts over 160 characters - when receiving a txt over 160 characters, instead of splitting it into how ever many txts, it cuts off the text completely and instead says something about the media in the message has been deleted.
Anyone else having this prob? Anyone know of a fix?

I dont believe there is a fix for this, as this is a product of the VZW servers and not your Arcsoft setup. I remember reading something about this over at XDA, so you might want to pop over there.

One other thing...over at XDA there is an Arcsoft cab for VZW that is absolutely perfect. You might want to test with that and make sure its the VZW servers. If you cannot find it send me an email to spetrillo@mail2web.com and I will forward it to you.

i been using dcd cab for a long time and never had problems of this sort.. but i did try the new GC arcsoft and i was not able to receive text massages more than 160 characters.. i tried reinstalling dcd's but same problem.. so i had to cook another rom with no arcsoft in it and just install it from the cab.. i have the VZW cab.. here yo go!

That is exactly how I do it. I build my ROM without Arcsoft and then layer on Arcsoft via cab. This way it gives me complete flexibility to install a new version when one comes out.
