Yeah I just tested mine and it was 536 Down and 614 Up. Yours is faster than mine. Although here I only have 1-2 bars of signal, and that's with the skinny signal bars (there's 7 of them instead of 5).

i tried running the test from my phone, but ive gotta be doing something stupid. ran it from PIE, installed the adobe flash 7 like it said...but when i go to speedtest.net the screen never fully loads and the map is so small i cant click on the yellow pyramid.

so i need in on the (probably simple) trick to getting the test to work. please and thx

your currently just as fast as my DSL elite service from AT&T......6mbps down my ***. and whats worse is i have the fiber antenna on my land!!! i have 0 noise on my line!! i should have a perfect connection :(

but to answer your question- yes, that is a good speed.

Thats pretty much right on point of EVDO Rev A. MaxDOWN is 3.1MB and youre a little more than half that.

i just ran this test a bunch of times, trying a few different points around me and the reccomended one 3 or 4 times (which is the one shown). this was about the average...i think the upload was actually a little above average.

whats the deal with northeast ohio??? my numbers seem kinda low

Is your phone unlocked and running a GPS enabled ROM. If so you should have REV A. I don't know if Alltel had the option to turn REV A off/on. I think Sprint phones can turn it off and on in epst menu.

its been for a while now... using 3.2.6 rom and 3.37.75 radio. maybe its just turned off (i hope). wonder how i could turn it on... i forgot the number to even get into the epst.
