GPS on P4000 quit working
Hello all. I've been flashing roms to my phone for a few months now trying out different things. I'm using BuildOS. It updated a bunch of files yesterday (hadn't run it in a month). I checked off everything I wanted in my build. Selected GPS from the Rev combo. The image went on fine but I lost my GPS. None of the GPS apps can get a fix. The HTC GPS tool (in connection manager) has data scrolling by but by the looks of it its not seeing any sats (Yes I tryed it out side also). Its a Telus P4000 running radio version 3.35.04 and the ROM is 3.49.NO2-C. Does any one have an idea why the GPS would quit? The phone and EVDO work just fine.
Also how many times can you flash a phone before it will no longer take it? Thanks |
Re: GPS on P4000 quit working
Did you go and enable you location because after you flash the default setting would be disabled.

Re: GPS on P4000 quit working
It was set to E911 only so I changed it to "ON" and now it works. Thanks, what a newbie thing to do. I guess I had always setup the phone before going in to Google maps. Hope this thread helps others.
