Ok I keep messing up

OK guys I've been trying for some time to get a custom rom in my phone. I used olipro. Ok here is what I've got, Mogul 6800 with the new htc updates, and using Windows Vista. Everytime I try to get olipro to work it keeps saying lost connection error. I'm trying to do it with the usb to pc because I Was told active sync don't work on vista. GaMedic tried to help me and he tried hard. I put it in bootloader mode and the screen goes to the loading and thats when I get the connection error any ideas out there to help me out ?

What ROM build are you using (version or name, etc...), and is it a GPS enabled ROM?

The reason I ask is because you can use no2chem's new bootloader, and then stick the ROM's .nbh file on your memory card and flash the ROM directly from your phones memory card when you put it into bootloader mode.

First you should probably have one of the newer ROMs such as build 20226 with GPS enabled, no2chem's bootloader installed, and your memory card formatted with the FAT32 File System. Once that is done, you just put the ROM's .nbh file in the root/main directory on your memory card, but you should rename it to TITAIMG.nbh before you do so. Once that is done, put your phone into bootloader mode by holding the Power button, Comm button (both on right side of phone), and the reset button (on bottom of phone, push in with stylus) all at the same time until it goes into bootloader. With no2chem's new bootloader, it will automatically detect the TITAIMG.nbh file on your memory card and flash the new ROM to your phone. After it's done, I'd recommend you hard reset your phone once, and then you can let it boot.

I will attach no2chem's new bootloader to this post, just extract the files onto your memory card (must format the memory card to FAT32 file system first), and then run the nueSPL-2.47.exe file directly on your phone. It will perform some tests to make sure everything is ready. If all is good, just click next/continue or whatever, and let it do it's job. Once it's done, you'll have the new bootloader installed. After thats done and you boot your phone back up, you can stick the custom ROM file (the one you renamed to TITAIMG.nbh) directly onto your memory card, then go into bootloader mode and it will load the custom ROM directly from your phone. No connection to the computer is required except maybe to transfer the files needed onto the memory card. This way you won't have to mess around with Active Sync or Mobile Device Center in the future. You can just put the custom ROM .nbh file on your memory card, rename it to TITAIMG.nbh, and put your phone in bootloader mode and it will automatically flash the ROM onto the phone directly from your memory card.

Hope this helps :) If you need anything else, just let me know. But I think this should at least guide you in the right direction to getting a custom ROM on your phone.

Attached below is no2chem's new bootloader.
