change PPCKITCHEN buildOS ruu directory

is it possible to edit where this is located, i don't really want it in my documents folder since that directory is synced with other pc's.

i meant when it atcually builds the rom, where it puts the files

The reason its put there is because of vista protecting most other directories from write access by programs.

I believe I'm running in to a problem that this would fix. I keep getting a "File create error" when building my rom. I think it's hitting the 256 character dir limit in XP.

No it won't, and your wrong.

That error is caused by a conflict between two OEMs. It's a bit of trial and error to figure out which 2 or more, I'm afraid.
