putting things into the OEM .rar
 

as i get more familar with cooking i now find that i want to add the programs i use that are not included in the kitchen when i update it. i have found in the Help and support files folder a program that i thought would allow me to add programs with out having to install them by clicking the .cab file each time i cook a rom. can someone help me with a tute on adding my own files to the kitchen so when i cook my rom all the programs i usually have to manually install are already installed.

You can put your own OEM's inside the ppckitchens USER_OEM folder. If you add them to one of the existing archives, they will be gone next time they are updated.

On a side note, an archived version of USER_OEM.rar with a definable path+name would be a nice addition to the ppckitchen I think...

my issue is, i dont know how to make them into oems. when i put them into the folder, they only appear as a cab to be installed. i want them installed with the rom cooking.

If you click on my Custom OEM Requests link, I believe that in post #4 there is a link to a tutorial on making your own OEM's, and a link to the program I use. You can also use OEMizer included in the kitchen to import some .cab files, I don't use it much but I'm sure some others here are willing to help.
