Is there a way to add the DCD kitchen into the PPCgeeks BuildOS?

Hey all, I'm just starting to play with BuildOS and I'm wondering if I can build a ROM based on DCD's kitchen, but have all of the other cool applications available to me that are in the PPCKitchen.org BuildOS?

Can anyone help with this?

just extract ppcgeeks_oem from the kitchen, and put the oems into your dcd kitchen

ew. That's the wrong direction. Learn how to build DCD from within PPCKitchen.org's kitchen, not the other way around.

Why not the other way around, I find it's easier to drop the OEM into DCD's kitchen and edit the options.xml and remove the ppckitchen extras.... I have ported DCD to the ppckitchen and it was not as easy, but can be done.....

but is there away to use, lets say DCD's 20273 and use his XIP or his build and use PPCGeek's Kitchen to cook with?

There is a way, but it's pointless and more trouble than it's worth. Just add yer oems to DCD's oem folder and use his kitchen.

So everyone told me how easy it was to cook a custom ROM and ripped me for asking someone to post something that they cooked up... But I've done 3 now, and it seems like something is broken on every one.

So it would be a lot less ](*,)if I could find a rom with generally all of the stuff that makes the phone work "out of box"

Or if I could build with the DCD base, and the PPC extra fun... but it seems like neither will happen.

What is this "extra PPC fun" that you speak of, which you are unable to implement with DCD's kitchen?

How about the Oemizer output OEM? it was my first go around with oemizer and i put my oem folder into the "OEM" folder for dcds kitchen. i expected it to come up as a selectable option with all those other thigns but it didnt....

does it just automatically get built in then?
