Radio Upgrade Compatibility Question

So I'm currently running an old NexVision ROM (NexVision_2.3.1_02_VZW) with radio 3.27 which was the latest available at the time I upgraded.

Now I see the newest 3.42.50 radio has been released and I'd like to upgrade for better GPS reception. I'd like to keep my current ROM because I've gotten used to it and I like the features. Can I just flash via the SD card method and keep my current ROM or do I have to upgrade my ROM if I want to use this new radio?

As long as the rom you're running is GPS enabled, you can flash the radio no problems. If not, then you have to upgrade the rom to a GPS enabled rom and then flash the radio.

Thanks. Yeah the ROM is GPS enabled; I'm running radio 3.27 right now.

Just wanted to let everyone know, electronicrice was correct. I successfully flashed to the new radio using the SD card method.
