Help!!! Cant Get Into Espt Edit!!!!
 

as the header states i cannot get into the espt edit cause its asking for a unlocking code of somesort and i have no clue what it is.the reason being is cause i read here that if you are roaming after a upgrade then to change the prl and the is where the prl is located am i correct?
any help would be nice! tia

to get your msl, you need to use an msl generator, which I just happen to have on hand, install the cab that's inside this zip, then run get spc from start menu/ programs. you will need to input your hex value esn.

I have Alltel and the unlock code is 000000. Try that and see if it works.

that program I gave you gives you your unlock code? a.k.a. msl. plug the number it generates after inputing your esn into the code area in epst

ok tht orked now how to get it to not roam. i mean im at home and im roaming. any ideas?

Use the EPST and see what your PRL is. i posted this on the tutorial thread too. Hopefully you wil answer on one of them.

I think the reprogram code is *228 try that..my prl is 30031

ive tried that multiple time and matter of fact that was the first thing i tried. and my prk is the same as yours but it still says im roaming. UGH!!](*,)](*,)](*,)

It is *228. But I don't know if it will update properly if he is roaming. I am trying to look for info on finding your PRI to see what it needs to be. I think you can load DCD's carrier cab to fix the issue I am gonna search it out for you.

just wondering if i were to use the seven bar vs. five bar reception icon would that have any effect?im using the seven now thats why im asking.

Have you checked in your phone/options/services menu to see if you're phone is set to 'roaming only'....should be set to automatic

Carrier cab. You can put this on your phone and run it to see if it fixes it.

what exactly do you mean by your roaming at home is it always stuck on roaming now if it is just update your prl found here http://www.corolada.com/prl/ then you should be good thats what happend to me i got stuck in roaming a couple days ago

the option for the seven bar icon was in the kitchen's list. and i tried that cab it gave me an extra option under the services menu but its set to automatic. ive have no more idea's left. to try of my own.

I would say try a hard reset. I read on one of the threads I searched out that a guy said he had the same issue and he did a hard reset then dialed *228 and it fixed it.

OMG I HATE ALLTEL!!!! i was on the phone with alltel and asked them to get the SID reset and they said "sir can you get on the internet? and i replied, yea. and she says then theres no problem with your phone its on one of our partners towers and it will be fine theres no need to reset the SID." ugh!

ok so igot it to work. i just had to "activate" my phone. just dial *228 and selection 3 which put the new SID in my phone. so if your having trouble with roaming after a custom rom then just do that.

thanks it took four tries through alltels "advance" tech support before i got the right answer. woohoo! and im now a tweeker (no pun intended) i almost got my phone the way i want it. YESSSSSSSS!!!!!
B.T.W. does anyone have a copy of the latest offical release of alltels rom laying around i have a new pc so i dont have it anymore. much thanks to those that helped :mrgreen:

yea i just need that incase i need to go in for warranty work and what not. cause they like to "touch" my phone when i go into alltel for some reason.
