Reading thru the post, this is what i need to do to unlock my phone and put a custom rom.
1. unlock it w/ 2.47
2. load the custom rom

Is that correct?

BTW. I have sprint Mogul

Thanks

Yes since you have Sprint you can just run the latest Srint ROM from HTC. After that run an unlocker-2.40 or 2.47. Once you do that you can load a custom ROM.

As far as backup of your data. You should track down something like PIMBackup, or sync w/ your computer.
before you upgrade back up anything important to you ;-)

The problem with not being able to select contacts is related to one of the selections you made in the kitchen. I am not at my home PC to tell you which one. I think it is Random Access.

Thanks rstoyguy

If it is caused by something you added from the kitchen then it is something that you selected. I know Random Access was causing that problem before. Just make sure you do not select it if you did.
