GPS on Alltel
 

I've searched the different GPS threads here and on xda, but I can't find an answer.

I've seen people flashing the 3.42.30 Radio from Sprint to Verizon, but can it be used on Alltel 6800's as well?

Trying to enable GPS for a friend and I can't find out whether or not I can just flash the 3.42.30 radio, since they use A-Keys and whatnot.

Anyone have an answer for this?

I have DCD 3.2.5 running with radio 3.42.30, and I didn't have to update the A-key or anything...I think only Verizon has that issue.

Unfortunately I've been trying to get a GPS lock with about 6 different programs with no luck.

same here... i have gps, didnt need a a key.

but when you run 3.42.30 through usb you need to run 1.6 oplio unlocker (cant remember the exact build and then when you flash your custom rom you need to run oplio 2.4)

If you just want GPS and not a custom rom you can load the latest alltel rom form HTCs website which includes the GPS radio. After that just search the forums there are 4 files which you need to run on your phone to enable the gps and it will load. This will enable you to use the GPS without unlocking or re locking your phone.
