Re: Bugs in Official Rom Release

I lost my ability to select my SD card. Not sure if this happened because i removed the SD card before the update or if it is an issue with the update. When i insert the SD the phone lights up like it saw i put it in but cannot select it anywhere.

This is the official ROM that has been downloaded off the HTC website, not from here correct? And its the one that was released the 18th of July (or the 21st)? I havent had any of the issues described here

1.Still no ABCDEFG sidebar in contacts.
2.Blue HTC icons in HTC Home plugin.
3.Strange HTC Task Manager size sometimes.
4.Dropping to 1X sometimes durring ICS connection.

I feel HTC and Sprint rushed this update. I know that's a strange thing to say considering the update took FOREVER to be released. What exactly took so long to do???

Let me help where I can...

1. As far as I know you have to have at least a full screen of contacts before the bar initializes.
2. Get HHC Final and change the HTC Home screen to be the way you want it to be. (Attached below).
3. I posted a fix for that in another thread yesterday. You can find it here.
4. I would run IOTA and see if that helps reset your Data connection. (Attached below).

Hope at least one of these helps...

The abc's are there if U fill the contacts screen. If it disappears, click the open programs on the top right and close the contacts. open it again and it's back.

Here are the registry settings for

Contacts -> Menu -> Options

;For "Show alphabetical index" checked:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AddrBook]
"Flags"=dword:00004000

;For "Show alphabetical index" unchecked:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AddrBook]
"Flags"=dword:01004000

The box checked shows the alphabetical bar at the top, unchecked should show the bar to the right side.
Your mogul release rom is very similiar to the vogue one.

I also have the new ROM and my single issue is that the phone goes into Flight Mode often for no reason. I did not have this issue prior to the new ROM. I have searched these forums for this issue but have not found anything. Anyone out there know what the problem might be ? I'm hoping a patch might be out there for this....Thanks...Mike

I get the 1X thing but it isn't just in ICS. I will get a call or a text and it sticks in 1X randomly till I take the battery out(holding down the power button no longer shuts off the phone)

How the heck do you have all that free space? The lowest I've ever seen on mine is 47%

I think some of what you are referring to as bugs are enhancement requests, other than the task manager and you many need to reinstall that app.
