Difference between the 7/21 3.56 ROM and "earlier" 3.56 ROM
 

I figure we should have a thread discussing what if anyone has noticed different beside the rom file is 1 mb smaller on the 7/21 rel. or that the PRL version number goes up by one.

I don't think the software actually updates the prl. and also i believe its the exact same file that was leaked earlier.

Once I get home I'll add some feedback after I download

I know the 1st doesn't allow any UI mods like HTC Home, SPB apps, Wisbar etc. or Else it'll do one hell of a lockup that'll force you to to H-reset.

Hopefully "that" go fixed.

That's not correct, I ran HTC Home on the original 3.56 with no issues. You need to use the version of HTC Home that HTC Home Customizer would download for you. I have the installer for it if you need it.

I'm going to be installing the new version in a little while, just got my replacement from the Sprint store (original had a few keys go bad, and that horrible white spot).

I'm using the leaked 3.56 ROM from last month.

It works great.

I'd like someone to comment on whether today's ROM addresses the seemingly huge battery drain with regular usage...

I compared both and they are 100% identical down to the same kb file size and modified date.

I talked with my contact and they made a small change so "[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']The file is slightly modified from last week's file to automatically install Live Search during set-up"[/FONT]

The leaked one I have, does that already. :scratch:

I got it working via HHC, just after posting what you see there; guy in the Sprint store told me about it.:)

Still SPB apps & Wisbar apps lock-up the Mogul, BADD...](*,)

I am using a ton of SPB apps on my Mogul with the 3.56 release from around a month ago, and haven't had any problems at all with them or the ppc locking up.

I have used SPB Mobile Shell, Time, Weather, Pocket Plus, and Wisbar Advance 3.xx on both Roms with no problem at all.
