Data Connection Active

I have experienced over the last 2 days that my data connection stays active unless I kill it. I have installed DxC iphone dialer, ultimatelauncher and navizon during that time so I am not sure if one of those programs caused the issue. Also I lost my SD card which had HHC installed o it but I don't think that would cause an issue. I uninstalled it just in case.
Anyone else with any of these things causing the same issue?

The "CDMA" version of DxC dialer seems to have this problem also. I have run in to it as well as not being able to diall 911.

Sounds like an uninstall is coming. I have noticed that the keys don't function properly. 911 is pretty important. That is how most people get in touch with me lol.

this reg tweak will fix the sticking data connection.
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\SuspendResume=G PRS_bye_if_device_off
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\CacheTime=60

may I ask why you would want your data connection to disconnect? my data connection (and that of most other users on this site) stays active nearly 24/7 - it's not a drain on battery or anything....

+1 thats why i use that reg tweak. No need to be active when its not doing anything. IMO.

Re: Data Connection Active

It was the dialer. The problem is gone with an uninstall. To answer the question about why I want the data inactive is- It does drain the battery faster. To prove this just download the ABC power meter and see for yourself. The only time the data connection should be active is during an email check, an MMS download or internet activity. I am sure that there are other instances, but I don't intend to name them all, just some of the major ones. I want my data to connect when it needs to and disconnect when the work is done. I have enjoyed going 2 days between charges. Thanks for the heads up on the dialer.

Good to know that it helped. I have been very careful with dialers since I figured this out.

Probably takes more battery to dial out every 30 mins/etc when you check your email than just leaving it open ;)
